Governor Walker Holds Listening Session In FDL

Some Fond du Lac County residents got a special invitation to a listening session with Governor Scott Walker. It was held Wednesday afternoon at the City-County Government Center in Fond du Lac. Governor Walker told KFIZ News it was one of about 90 listening sessions that will be held around the state by the end of the year. He says the focus was on where people want the state to be in the next 20 years. He says a lot of the concerns he heard about had to do with workforce related issues and education. He says there were other concerns as well including what’s being done to help veterans and those with disabilities. He says another suggestion had to do with how to give retirees a role as mentors. He says he got some powerful suggestions. You can the whole interview with the Governor during the Morning Show with Bob Hoffmaster at 11:20 Thursday morning.
