Grand Opening At The Mercantile On Main

Fond du Lac, WI – The Mercantile on Main, located at 171 S. Main Street, announces its grand opening on November 24 and 25.

While the shop has a new name and location, customers may recognize the work of owner Jackie Nelson-O’Boyle from her previous ventures at the original J & J’s Country, out of her home in Lamartine. It was born in conjunction with homeschooling her four children, and they all took part in the creating of crafts and woodworking.

Over the years she moved her retail to J & J’s Country in the City, as well as Tattered a Unique Boutique with her sister in Waupun, and also The Shops at the Depot with other vendors.

The new location is great for passersby and loyal customers alike featuring beautiful window display space and shepherd hook light fixtures to highlight the ever-changing inventory and décor.

Customers will recognize distinct style of Nelson-O’Boyle and her closest friends at The Mercantile on Main. The Mercantile on Main carries handcrafted jewelry, quilts, frames, cupboards, tables, and other collectibles as well as a “boho” line of clothing, brand new, with a vintage style for casual and dressy events.

“I love the bohemian style and, while much of the store features vintage finds or repurposed items, the flowing, lacey, vintage inspired line of clothing is all brand new. They fit perfectly with my personality and the personality of the store,” says Nelson-O’Boyle.

The Mercantile on Main is open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday at 171

 S. Main Street. More information and updates can be found on their Facebook page, “The Mercantile on Main,” or by calling 920-904-7284.
