Grand Opening Held For St Marys Springs Academy School

St. Mary’s Springs Academy held a grand opening Sunday for their new pre-K through 12th grade school. Academy President Kelly Norton says the opening of the school capped nearly 7 years of planning and a capital campaign that generated over $26 million for the project. She says there were few words to describe the magnitude of the momentum. She says it was hard to describe what the dream come true means to them. Board of Directors member and alumni Tom Herre says it is a great moment in education not only for Catholics, but the community in general. He also commented on the generosity of the people who gave to the project. The celebration also included a ribbon-cutting, balloon launches, and a flag ceremony. Also among the attendees were Fond du Lac City Manager Joe Moore and State Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt.
