Green Bay Bus Driver Fired After Drinking On The Job

A Green Bay school bus driver is out of a job after admitting to drinking a beer during a school field trip.

A student at Lincoln Elementary School says they spied an empty beer can under the driver’s seat as they were coming back home from a field trip to Madison on Monday.

A letter to parents says there’s no indication that the driver, 70-year old James Nelson, was drunk. He was fired by the bus company, which says it has a zero-tolerance policy for alcohol. None of the kids on the bus was hurt on the field trip.
