Green Bay Man Arrested after Vehicle Pursuit in FDL County

A 28-year-old man from Green Bay is in custody after
leading Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high speed chase early
Sunday morning.

The Sheriff’s Office was informed around 4:40 Sunday
morning by a neighboring department about a possible stolen vehicle driven by
the Green Bay man that was seen going over 100 miles-per-hour. The suspect had
reportedly been involved in a domestic incident and had a warrant for his
arrest.

A Fond du Lac County Deputy spotted the vehicle just after
5 AM and attempted a traffic stop on Interstate 41 near Lost Arrow Road. The
driver did not stop, and continued south on I-41 – eventually exiting onto Highway
49 then continuing onto town roads and eventually onto Highway 67.

A second deputy was able to get into position and successfully
use a tire deflation device to slow the vehicle down. The pursuit traveled around
16 miles, before coming to a stop in the Village of Lomira.

The driver ran from the car and was taken into custody with assistance of a taser deployment.

The suspect was confirmed to be the Green Bay man. He was
cited for  OWI, operating with a revoked
license, failure to stop at a stop sign and speeding and is being held in the
Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of eluding and obstructing an officer.

Deputies were not injured, but the suspect did receive an
injury to his finger. He was treated by Theresa Fire and EMS and released.
