Green Bay Packers Foundation Awards Grants to Several FDL Area Groups

Several Fond du Lac area groups have been awarded grants
from the Green Bay Packers Foundation.


Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County, the Agnesian
HealthCare Foundation – Treffert Center, the Charis Pregnancy Help Center, the
Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund, Fond du Lac Humane Society, Marsh Haven Nature
Center and Traded Treasures Thrift Store and Community Food Pantry all received
grants from the foundation at its annual luncheon at the Lambeau Field Atrium
on Wednesday.


A news release says the 2019 grant cycle focused on
organizations that will direct the funds toward the areas of animal welfare,
civic and community causes, environmental causes, health and wellness causes –
including drugs/alcohol abuse prevention – and domestic violence causes.


In total, the foundation awarded a record $1 million
dollars to 192 civic and charitable groups this year.
