Greg Giles Runs For FDL City Council

Greg Giles says he’s enjoyed his time on the Fond du Lac City Council since being appointed last May, but is now seeking a full term during the April 7th election. He says he’s glad a Lakeside Park Exploratory Committee was formed to have a discussion about future use of the park while there are no offers on the table. He says the City needs to know what people are looking for over the next 30 to 40 years when it comes to quality of life issues. He also believes that purchasing the building next to the library at 52 Sheboygan Street for expansion of the library is a good idea and a good use of resources. During the Day Giles is the Executive Director and CEO of the Fond du Lac YMCA. He came to the City 13 years ago when the “Y” was in need of improvements and he says a community capital campaign and collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club made all the difference. He says the same type of progressive approach is what he brings to City Council.
