Grief Relief Fundraiser Coming Up Next Week
Sponsored by the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation, Grief Relief’s Rebuilding Families “One Backyard at a Time” silent auction and raffle drawing is scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at Whispering Springs Golf Club, 380 Whispering Springs Drive, Fond du Lac from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The event will feature live music, refreshments, cash bar, silent auction and door prizes. There is free admission with the purchase of a raffle ticket. The raffle drawing is scheduled at 8:30 p.m.
Agnesian HealthCare’s Grief Relief offers free facilitated peer support groups for children, teens, young adults and their families who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives.
“Bring a friend or even your family to our auction and raffle event to learn more about Grief Relief and our mission of providing a safe place where children, teens and their families can grieve openly in a supportive environment of their peers,” says Sister Joyann Repp, MSN, RN, Agnesian HealthCare Hospice Hope bereavement coordinator.
This year’s prizes include: grand prize, custom landscape construction (softscape) package (donated by Stuart’s Landscaping & Garden Center; valued at $5,000); second prize, Simplicity Regent 26/52 riding lawn mower, steel handi hauler 4’x8’ utility trailer (mower purchased from Fred’s Fastrac, valued at $3,099 and trailer donated by Chilton Trailer, valued at $929); third prize, two Adirondack chairs, infrared grill and Eden Mean Market gift certificate (donated by Zillges Spa, Landscape & Fireplace, valued at $796, and Hospice Hope associates, valued at $450); fourth prize, Amish oak rocker and table lamp, 5×7 area rug, solid oak end table (donated by Murray Furniture; valued at $750, Twohig Flooring America, valued at $209, and Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes, valued at $250); fifth prize, Stihl chainsaw, lawn trimmer and leaf blower (donated by Jim Schoenborn, valued at $500).
Raffle tickets are $5 each or $20 for five tickets. Grief Relief: Rebuilding Families “One Backyard a Time” raffle tickets can be purchased at the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation, Agnesian HealthCare Information Desks, Becky’s Cottage Floral, and Agnesian Bereavement Center & Grief Relief.
In addition, individuals can purchase a half-pound box of Guth’s End of the Trail candy for only $10 and enter into a drawing for a chance to win a beautiful 14-karat white gold pendant set with .33 ct. of diamonds on a white gold chain (valued at $795). The lucky ticket will be drawn on April 5 during the “One Backyard at a Time” fund-raiser.
