Grothman Talks Tax Reform

With the focus in Washington DC
on the repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act, President Trump’s
plan for tax reform remains on the table. One of the questions about the reform
plan is how to pay for it, without the savings that the republicans say will
come with the repeal of the ACA. Congressman Glenn Grothman says without those
savings, the tax rate reduction may not be as large as they initially thought.
He says removing some tax breaks may help, as will lowering the Repatriation
Tax. Grothman says the Repatriation Tax involves American businesses who make
money abroad. Those companies are taxed when they bring that money back to the U.S.
Most importantly, Grothman says he wants to make sure the tax code reforms
benefit the middle class.
