Groundbreaking Today For NFDL Building Trades Home Build

Ground will be broken in North Fond du Lac this afternoon for the second home Horace Mann High School Building Trades students will build in as many years. Last January ground was broken for a home that was built on a vacant lot at 1001 Michigan Avenue, a former tax delinquent property. North Fond du Lac Schools Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says the program gives students construction experience and doesn’t cost the district any thing. It also benefits those building the home. The school district is partnering with Mark Cardinal Concrete, Smith Builders and Drexel Supply on the effort to build a 1,600 square foot home with a three-car garage. The home should be complete by June 8th. The home will be built on Lot #78 on Creek Vu Drive. The groundbreaking is at 1 p.m.
