Hands Over The Fox Remembers Trestle Trail Vicitims

A crowd gathered on the Trestle Trail in Menasha last night to honor the victims of last month’s random shooting. The “Hands Over the Fox” event brought people together to also reclaim the popular bridge for the community. Thirty-three-year-old Jon Stoffel of Neenah, his 11-year-old daughter Olivia, and 31-year-old Adam Bentdahl of Appleton were killed on May 3rd. Menasha Mayor Don Merkes says it’s important to remember the tragedy, but also to move one. Dale Youngquist is the town of Menasha chair. He says it was a wonderful way to remember the victims. People held hands on the bridge and church bells rang at a specific time. Boaters and kayakers also joined in the event. Photos from Trestle Trail Facebook page.
