Hayes Will Not Seek Another Term on School Board

After serving the Fond
du Lac
School District

Board of Education for 33 years – Elizabeth Hayes will not pursue another term
once her current one expires this upcoming April.

Hayes was first elected to
the Board of Education in 1986 – and has served as Board President for 11
years, Vice President for 6 years, and Secretary for 13 years. Due to her
extensive experience, she was also appointed to the Professional Standards
Council in 2017 by then-state superintendent, Tony Evers.

Hayes hopes other
community members will be encouraged to serve the students of Fond du Lac in this capacity as she leaves.
Anyone interested in running for the Board of Education can find candidacy
papers in the Fond du Lac School District Human Resources department – which is
located in the Administration
Center
on West 9th Street
