Hearing Set for October in Omro Schools Restraining Order Case

A restraining order filed by the Omro School District against a member of its school board allegedly involves years of cyber bullying – along with attempts to “stalk, intimidate, attack, and cause distress” to administrators and other board members. The superintendent and other board members have not commented on the order – but documents says Joanie Beem has “shown up repeatedly at the offices of employees” with the most recent “needing police assistance to remove her.” Many emails attached to the order show Beem repeatedly requesting information and meetings with the superintendent, The district claims the harassment began over five years ago – but has escalated over the past two. She was elected to the board in 2017. A hearing on the matter is set for October 1st
