Fond du Lac Man Involved In Friday Accident Dies, FDL PD Arrest Two

An accident that occurred early Friday morning resulted in 39-year old David Posey of Fond du Lac being taken to the hospital for injuries received in the accident. Once he arrived at the hospital it was discovered Posey had a gun shot wound to the leg. In a Press Release issued Monday morning, it was confirmed Posey passed away over the weekend, and now Fond du Lac Police and other agencies are attempting to piece together what happened. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office.

A heavy presence of local and state law enforcement agencies converged on a residence located at 28 5^th St. in Fond du Lac Sunday, with local investigators being assisted by the Wisconsin State Crime Lab and Wisconsin State Patrol in conducting a search. Two subjects have been taken into custody in relation to the investigation, including a 30-year old Fond du Lac man being held on a probation hold along with a 30-year old Fond du Lac woman being held on obstruction charges. The investigation remains very active and no further information is being released at this time.
