Heavy Snow Hits Area

Fond du Lac received 9.5 inches of snow and other areas of the state had as much as 12 inches. Plows were out early this morning tackling the main thoroughfares first. Fond du Lac Police say a semi blocked West Johnson Street just before plows got out. Travel could be difficult with snow removal expected to take quite a bit of time. Those who have fire hydrants near their home are being asked to shovel out around them in case of a fire. If you want to receive mail make sure you also make a path for mail carriers.
