Heroin Problem In FDL A Year Later

Fond du Lac area residents can hear more about the heroin problem in the area during a program at the Fond du Lac High School Performing Arts Center tonight. Mary Gerlach of the Beacon House says there will be updates on the progress made since last year’s summit. Two recovering addicts will give a presentation and then “A Parent’s Story” will be told by Bridgett Henschel who lost her daughter to heroin. Gerlach says since last year’s summit an opioid coalition has been formed by people and agencies that want to help with the problem. There’s no cost to attend the presentation. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the program starting at 6:30.
