High Risk Traffic Stop Near Rosendale

Update:

An official with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s office says details are still being sorted out, but three people were taken into custody after a high risk traffic stop in Rosendale Monday afternoon. Sheriff’s Captain Rick Olig says one of their deputies first spotted the car at the Kwik Trip on West Johnson Street in Fond du Lac. He says the information they had was that the vehicle was stolen out of Milwaukee and Milwaukee Police told them that the people in the car may be armed and dangerous. The vehicle headed west on Highway 23. Olig says they hoped to stop it after it continued west out of the Village of Rosendale, but it pulled into the parking lot at Bluemkes Hardware. He says at that point the officers made contact with the people in the vehicle and took them into custody without incident. He says at least two of those taken into custody were men. Olig says he doesn’t know if the individuals were in the area for a drug transaction.

Authorities have taken three men into custody after a high-risk traffic stop in the Rosendale area. The three may have been involved in a drug transaction in the City of Fond du Lac earlier in the afternoon. The suspect vehicle left the City heading west on Highway 23. The State Patrol, Fond du Lac County Sheriff, Ripon and Rosendale Police also became involved in the effort.
