High Speed Chase Suspect Enters Not Guilty Plea

A Wausau man accused of
leading a Fond du Lac
deputy on a
high-speed chase late last month says he is not guilty. William Connell the
third entered the plea in Fond du Lac
County court on Friday to first offense OWI and one felony count of Fleeing or
Eluding an Officer, along with other traffic offenses. The deputy reportedly
clocked Connell going over 110-miles per hour near County Highway KK in
Rosendale. Nobody was hurt and no property was damaged in the pursuit. Connell
is set to return to court next month.
