High-Speed Pursuit Through FDL County Ends With Arrest In Marinette County

A high-speed pursuit through Fond du Lac County Monday night ends with a Slinger man being arrested in Marinette County.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department attempted a traffic stop just before 8:00 pm. Monday (4/4/2022). A Deputy observed a vehicle heading north on I-41 near Townline Rd, at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles on the shoulder.

The vehicle failed to stop, and instead increased speed, with the pursuit being terminated at the Winnebago County line. The pursuit through the county lasted 16 miles, and there were no injuries reported. The deputy was able to obtain license plate information and that was passed on to other northern counties.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department was notified later Monday evening that the suspect, a 22-year old Slinger man, had been arrested in Marinette County after leading authorities on a pursuit that also included Oconto Conty.

The suspect will face charges in Fond du Lac County of fleeing/eluding and 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, along with charges in other counties.
