Highway 23 Project Inches Closer To FDL City Limits

As the new year begins, progress continues on the Highway 23 expansion project between Fond du Lac and Plymouth. Fond du Lac County Executive Allen Buechel tells KFIZ News that construction work will continue on the eastern end of the project in 2021, with the project continuing to work its way toward the east side of the city of Fond du Lac.

“The stretch from 7 Hills Road to the bypass, that is going to be the first year construction will continue then in 2022, because that is also a two-year phase, and then the eastern most part of it in Sheboygan County will also be done.”

Buechel says the plank trail project that runs alongside the Highway 23 expansion should also be paved and ready for use by the end of 2021.
