Highway 45 Work Resumes in Eden Next Week

Drivers around the Village of Eden are being reminded by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation that construction on US Highway 45 begins again next week. The project is set to resume on Tuesday – and will see reconstruction of Highway 45 from Elm Street to the north village limits. The $2.8 million project will improve around one mile of Highway 45 and a small portion of County Highway B. Work began last year on County B in downtown Eden. As part of the work, construction crews will widen US 45 1 to 2 feet, replace storm sewers and perform curb & gutter work, along with signing and pavement markings. Highway 45 will be closed to through traffic during construction, with access maintained to property owners and businesses. A detour will be in place from Kewaskum to Fond du Lac, using Highway 28, Interstate 41 and U.S. 151. Work is scheduled to finish in the fall.
