Home Sales Struggle During Pandemic, Say WRA

As the pandemic continues, home sales are struggling to keep up in Wisconsin. David Clark with the Wisconsin Realtors Association says that while Virtual Tours and home sales continue to increase, that’s not had an effect on the current numbers from May.

“But it would be my guess that an awful lot of those homes that closed in the month of May were homes that the buyer had visited prior to the pandemic.”

Clark says there might also be more homes entering the market that are usually rented out to vacationers through apps like AirBNB. Total sales were down 25 percent year to year in May.
