Hometown Bank Bomb Threat

Fond du Lac Police responded to the Hometown Bank Branch on Sheboygan Street on
reports of a bomb threat received via email on Thursday.

Assistant Chief Steve
Klein tells us the department had been alerted earlier in the day to similar
incidents occurring around the state and the country. Officers responded to the
bank around 2:12pm, and the bank was evacuated for a short period of time while
the building was searched for any suspicious looking items.

Based on the emails
received by the bank, the threats appear to be related to other incidents being
reported around the country.
