Hometown Bank Robbed In FDL

In a separate unrelated incident a little over an hour before yesterday’s fatal standoff in Fond du Lac the Hometown Bank at 245 North Peters Avenue was robbed. Police say a man entered the bank and gave a note to teller advising it was a robbery and to hand over the money. The suspect fled the bank after getting an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was described as a white man, possibly 35 to 50-years-old. He was approximately 5-foot-9 inches tall, weighed 175 to185 pounds, and had a mole or growth on his right cheek. He was wearing a black or charcoal-colored style hoodie with dark sunglasses and a dark-colored winter hat. No one was hurt during the incident.  Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Fond du Lac Police Department at their non-emergency number 920-906-5555 or the Crime Alert number at 920-322-3740.
