Hometown Bank Robbery Investigation Continues

The investigation into the Hometown Bank Robbery in Fond du Lac last Tuesday continues. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says there appears to be no link to that robbery and the one Steven Snyder committed earlier that same day in Marinette County. He says in fact State Trooper Trevor Casper followed him into town a little over an hour after the Hometown robbery occurred. Hometown Bank was robbed at 4:25 p.m. and Snyder came into town on Highway 41 at 5:36 p.m. He says they are investigating leads, but also hope someone might recognize the suspect from photos released from the Hometown surveillance system. He says if you do recognize him please call the department’s non-emergency line at 906-5555 or you can remain anonymous and call the Crime Alert line at 322-3740. Snyder was killed in an exchange of gunfire with Trooper Casper that also fatally wounded the trooper.
