Hometown Bank Robbery Photos Released

Fond du Lac Police say they have not been able to link evidence from the Hometown Bank Robbery this past Tuesday to a bank robbery suspect killed in a shootout with a state trooper that same day in Fond du Lac. Fond du Lac Police are working with the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation and the FBI on the investigation. Steven Snyder robbed a bank and murdered a man in Marinette County before traveling to Fond du Lac where he got into an exchange of gunfire with State Trooper Trevor Casper that resulted in both of their deaths. Fond du Lac Police yesterday released bank surveillance photos of the suspect from the Hometown Bank robbery. The suspect was described by witnesses as a white male, possibly 35 to 50 years of age. He is approximately 5’9” tall, weighs 175-185 pounds, with a mole or growth on his right cheek.  He was wearing a black or charcoal colored style hoodie with dark sunglasses and a dark colored winter hat.   Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Fond du Lac Police Department non-emergency number at 920-906-5555 or the Crime Alert number at 920-322-3740.
