Hotel Retlaw

A revamped Hotel Retlaw is expected to open in late November or early December of this year. An estimated 150 people will be employed, and room prices should be competitive with the current market. Steve Franz with Legendary Hotels wants the building to be a gathering place for the community, not just overnight guests. He tells us the goal is for “the local community to come in and have a drink in our hotel lobby or dinner … and engage in the hotel and really feel like it’s a social center again.” The hotel will also offer memberships to Club Retlaw, which willl organize mixers and other social events at the hotel. Franz says there was a small delay in the development, as the new custom-made windows had to pass certain standards for the historic building.
