House Fire In Campbellsport

No one was injured in a house fire in Campbellsport Friday morning. Assistant Fire Chief Jamie Zehren says the home at W1416 County Highway F was filling with smoke when they arrived. He says it was a basement fire and they used very little water to attack it. He says they knocked it down within 20 minutes of arriving on the scene. He says working smoke detectors alerted the family to the blaze and they got safely out of the home. The fire was restricted to the basement. Zehren says it appears the cause of the fire was electrical in nature. In addition to Campbellsport, Eden and Kewaskum Fire Departments initially responded to the scene. The time of the fire call was 5:35 a.m.
