House Fire In FDL Causes Significant Damage

A house fire Monday morning caused significant damage, and took the life of a family dog. Fond du Lac Fire Rescue was on the scene Monday morning at 9:20 a.m., to 11 east 10^th St., for reports of a house fire. Crews arrived to find the resident of the house on the porch of the two-story wood frame home. Upon entering the structure, firefighters were able to locate and extinguish the fire, but not before it caused serious damage to the inside of the home. The male resident of the home was transported to the hospital for treatment. No other occupants were in the home at the time of the fire, which is under investigation by FDL Fire Rescue and the Fond du Lac Police Department.
