Hwy. 175 Reconstruction Finishes On Time, Budget

The Wisconsin DOT announced Friday afternoon the the 7.1 mile construction of Hwy. 175 has been completed. The area that was being worked on included a stretch of highway from the south Fond du Lac County line in the Town of Byron, to Hwy 151 in the city of Fond du Lac. The $2.3 million project began August 16 and, according to the DOT, finished on time and on budget. 

Construction included resurfacing of the roadway, culvert pipe replacements, shoulder widening, spot curb and gutter replacement, concrete barrier and rumble strip installation, and pavement marking. Crews also repaved the railroad crossing near Byron Road.
