Illinois Man Arrested After Chase In FDL

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say a 27-year-old Illinois man drove his vehicle into a residence at Doty and McWilliams while trying to elude a Sheriff’s deputy Saturday night. Sheriff’s Lieutenant Mike Nolan says the deputy tried to pull the man over in the area of Lakeshore Drive and Howard Litscher Drive. The man went into Lakeside Park, but reemerged on Highway 45 before trying to elude the deputy by taking side streets in the northwestern part of the City. He lost control and crashed into the residence at Doty and McWilliams Street. He fled on foot behind a residence. Fond du Lac Police got involved in the chase as well and the man was caught during the foot pursuit. He’s being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on fleeing an officer, drunken driving and felony possession of marijuana charges. The pursuit began shortly after 7 p.m.
