It Is A Great And Small World For FDL And NFDL School District Bands This Weekend

It’s a big weekend for two local school districts’ band programs. The Fond du Lac School District will be hosting Band-O-Rama featuring all district band students in Grades 5-12. It takes place Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Fond du Lac High School Fieldhouse. Over 700 students will participate with nationally-known guest conductor Robert Sheldon. Sabish Middle School Band Director Mike Fedyszyn says over 700 students will participate with nationally-known guest conductor Robert Sheldon. He says it is a great experience that only happens once every three years. Meanwhile the North Fond du Lac High School Marching Band will march in a parade at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Sunday night at 5:30. The Village Board passed a proclamation this week honoring the band and the group of 82 students, staff, and chaperones who made the trip to Florida for the opportunity. Village Administrator Chuck Hornung says they will do a great job representing the Village. Tickets for Band-O-Rama are $6 each with children under 9 admitted free. They can be purchased at hometowntickets.com. They will also be available at the door for $7.
