Jane Doe Isotope Test Results Released

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is offering an update to their investigation into the identity of Jane Doe. A chemical isotope test shows she lived somewhere in the region spanning from Las Cruces and Albuquerque, New Mexico to Flagstaff, Arizona for most of her life. The results also showed that she had lived in South West Wisconsin, Southern Minnesota, or Northern Iowa for less than a year prior to her death. Her remains were found by deer hunters in a shallow creek in southern Fond du Lac County in 2008. Her DNA has been entered into a national database, and her dental records are also on file. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is working closely with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and other jurisdictions to spread information in hopes of identifying her. Police say someone out there somewhere has to know the identity of Jane Doe.
