JBS Plant In Brown County Closes Temporarily

There are now at least 189 COVID-19 cases linked to meatpacking plant JBS in Brown County. With the number continuing to rise, the owner of the plant made the call Sunday to temporarily close. In a press release issued Sunday, the company said that “due to the continued spread of coronavirus in the community and among our workforce, we have decided to voluntarily close our Green Bay facility in an effort to help flatten the curve of infections in Brown County.” The number of COVID-19 cases in the county grew to 776 on Sunday.
