Jimmy The Biter

Sun Prairie’s Jimmy the Groundhog drew more than attention in making his prediction about the length of winter Monday. Sun Prairie Mayor Jonathan Freund got a little too close for comfort during the Groundhog Day festivities. Jimmy’s handler was holding him next to the Mayor’s face when Jimmy bit down on his honor’s ear. The Mayor flinched, but continued with the ceremony and said Jimmy had predicted an early spring. But actually Jimmy’s handlers said he got it wrong and there will be six more weeks of winter. Sun Prairie officials later issued a statement saying only the Mayor can interpret Jimmy’s predictions.  See the video by clicking here.
