Johnson Says No Inconsistency On Supreme Court Nominee

U-S Senator Ron Johnson says there’s no inconsistency between the Republican Senate’s 2016 decision not to hold hearings on President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee months before the election, and their decision to advance President Trump’s nominee just weeks ahead of the election. Johnson on Sunday said back in 2016, there was a Democratic president and a Senate controlled by Republicans. The American people needed to basically break the tie. Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin said she wants the next president to make the nomination and the next seated Senate to consider the nomination.
