Kaul Discuses Opioid Settlement
Attorney General Josh Kaul says, pending approval by opioid distributors and local governments around the country, Wisconsin could see some 420 million dollars from an opioid settlement next year.
Right now if you look across several different investigations and cases going on, Wisconsin is in line to recover about half of a billion dollars. And the vast majority of those funds will be going to communities across the state, to help with the opioid epidemic.”
In a year-end interview the Democratic AG, who is running for reelection, said combating opioid addiction has been a priority of his time in office.
