Keeping an Eye on Drug Problems in FDL County

Fond du Lac
Police Chief Bill Lamb recently told the City Council opioids and heroin remain
an issue they have to cope with, but methamphetamine is expected to cause problems
in the future. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney agrees. He says
that is something they are monitoring and that the problem ebbs and flows in
the area. He says it is more of a problem in the western part of the state and
even in the northern part of the Fox Valley where they see it more than we do in Fond du Lac. Toney says it
can be a dangerous drug for its users and for those who manufacture it as well because the manner in which it is made can be volatile and it can create an
explosion. Meth is treated like a hazardous material when law enforcement
agencies raid meth labs.
