Kewaskum School District Helping Families Displaced By Fire

The Kewaskum School District is helping eight families displaced by an apartment building fire last week. Superintendent Jim Smasal says more than $700 in donations was collected at a boys’ basketball game for the families who had students enrolled in the district. A coat and clothing drive was also held. A new effort involving helping all of the families is underway. Donations of cash, gift cards or checks are welcome. Checks should be made out to the School District, which is overseeing the fund drive.
