Road Work Beginning Today.

 

Maintenance
work will begin today for the intersection of Scott Street and Van Dyne Road in the City of Fond du Lac. The
Department of Public Works tells us that beginning today city and county crews will
begin milling the pavement in preparation for new asphalt. The road is expected
to remain open for east/west traffic with flagmen directing the flow of traffic
during the work. Beginning Thursday, new asphalt will be put down on the
intersection, with traffic being detoured using Peters Avenue, Northwest Way and Van Dyne Road. The
paving should take one day to complete.

 

The
Department of Public Works also says that today, maintenance will be done to
the brick crosswalks on South Main
Street
between Division Street and Western Avenue. The intersections of Main
and Third Streets and Main and Forest Avenue will
be closed completely. The bricks in the crosswalks and the underlying concrete
will be removed with new stamped colored concrete placed in the crosswalk area.
The Forest Avenue
intersection is expected to open by the weekend and Third Street intersection should open by
Monday the 19th. The intersection of Main
and Second Streets will then close on the 19th for the same repair process.

 

Greenbush Accident

 

One person was injured in a motorcycle crash in the Town of Greenbush on Sunday
afternoon. According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, the accident
occurred on Kettle Moraine Drive
north
of Summit
Road
. Sheriff’s deputies along with the Mauthe
Lake Rangers, Greenbush Fire, Glenbeulah First Responders and Orange Cross
Ambulance assisted at the scene. The driver was flown by Flight for Life to Theda Clark Regional Medical
Center in Neenah for treatment of his injuries. 

 

Incident
at the Dodge County Airport

 

The
Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was called to an “aircraft incident” at the Dodge County
Airport
late Saturday
afternoon. Authorities say a privately owned two-seat airplane had just landed
at the airport for fuel while traveling from Alabama
to Manitowoc.
The plane veered off the runway and came to rest in a grassy area adjacent to
the runway and taxiway. The pilot was the only occupant of the plane and was
evaluated by medical personnel at the scene and did not receive treatment and
was not transported. The incident remains under investigation by local
authorities and the F-A-A. The incident was reported around 4:52 pm. 

 

Oshkosh Strong Armed Robbery

 

Oshkosh Police have arrested the three individuals
that are suspects in a strong armed robbery that took place early Saturday
morning. Police received a call around 6:23 Saturday morning that a man covered
in blood was walking down Bowen
Street
. The investigation revealed the man was
injured during a strong armed robbery at a residence in the 300 block of Bowen Street. He
was treated at a local hospital and released. Oshkosh Police took 23 year old
Abigal Schutzbank into custody on Saturday, 22 year old William Marx into
custody around 5:30 pm Sunday in Fond du Lac and 22 year old Lee Hopfensperger
into custody around 11pm Sunday night. Police also located the 2001 Ford
Explorer that was listed as stolen that the three were believed to be driving.
