–Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 19 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had four steals to help lead the Bucks to a road win over Toronto Thursday night. Khris Middleton added 18 points, with D.J. Wilson chipping in 16 points off the bench in the win. Milwaukee heads to Washington to face the Wizards Saturday night – tipoff is 6 pm.

NBA News:

Bucks forward Khris Middleton has been named a reserve for the All-Star game coming up later this month. It’s the first all-star selection for Middleton, who is averaging 17.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in his seventh season in the league. He joins Giannis Antetokounmpo as Milwaukee’s all-stars this year – making for the first Bucks’ duo to be named to an All-Star game since Ray Allen and Glenn Robinson were selected in 2001.

Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer will coach “Team Giannis” in the All-Star Game later this month in Charlotte. The Bucks clinched the best record in the Eastern Conference through games played Sunday with their win last night in Toronto. Coach Bud is the Bucks’ second All-Star Game head coach – joining Larry Costello who coached in the 1971 and 1974 games. The All-Star Game is February 17th.

The Wisconsin men’s basketball team gets a rematch with Maryland tonight at the Kohl Center. In the last meeting between the two teams back on January 14th in College Park – the Terrapins blew a 21 point lead to the Badgers before bouncing back to win 64-60. Since then, Wisconsin has won four in a row while Maryland has gone 2-2. The Terps hold a half game lead on the Badgers in the Big Ten standings. Tipoff time for tonight’s game is 8pm, we’ll join coverage in progress on KFIZ after high school basketball.
