>>Postponed Wisconsin vs. Penn State Men’s Basketball Rescheduled

(Madison, WI)  —  The Wisconsin men’s basketball team is shuffling its schedule to make up the January 3rd postponed game at Penn State.  The Badgers are moving up the January 27th matchup with Northwestern to January 20th at the Kohl Center. U-W will then travel to Happy Valley to face the Nittany Lions on January 27th. Ninth-ranked Wisconsin is coming off a 77-54 loss at number-seven Michigan on Tuesday.  The Badgers play at Rutgers Friday night.

>>Packers’ OT Veldheer Tests Positive For COVID-19

(Green Bay, WI)  —  Newly signed Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Jared Veldheer is the latest player to test positive for COVID-19. ESPN reports Veldheer was placed on the COVID-19 Wednesday but no other players were identified as close contacts. The Packers just signed Veldheer off the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad on Monday and he practiced with the team Tuesday.  He was already in the Colts’ testing program, so he was able to join the Packers on the field immediately.  No word on whether Veldheer will be able to play in Saturday’s playoff game against the Rams.

>>Bears Keeping Nagy, GM Pace; Pagano Retires

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Chicago Bears are sticking with head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace for another season.  The team announced both will be back for 2021 without contract extensions.  Nagy has led the Bears to two playoff appearances in the last three seasons.  Defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano has decided to retire.  The 60-year-old spent the last two years in Chicago after six seasons as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts.  The Packers routed the Bears 35-16 in the regular season finale to clinch the top seed in the NFC.

>>#12 Wisconsin Men’s Hockey Gearing Up For Arizona State

(Madison, WI )  —  The number-12 Wisconsin men’s hockey team is host Arizona State this weekend after a two-game split with top-ranked Minnesota.  The Sun Devils swept the Badgers in a two-game series at LaBahn Arena in late November. UW head coach Tony Granato says this non-conference matchup might be the most important two games on the schedule the rest of the year to show the NCAA committee something.  Granato says Cole Caufield and Dylan Holloway gained some confidence at the World Junior Championship and should have big second halves for U-W.
