Wisconsin junior offensive lineman David Edwards has announced he will be skipping his senior season in Madison to enter the NFL Draft. Edwards played in the Badgers’ first 10 games of the season before sitting out the final two regular season contests and last week’s Pinstripe Bowl to rest a shoulder injury he suffered during fall camp. Edwards was a first team All-Conference selection by the media, and a second team selection by the coaches. Edwards said in a post on Twitter “I’ve had the chance of a lifetime to call myself a Badger, and it’s hard to leave behind something that means so much to me, but it’s always been my dream to play pro football. I couldn’t be more excited to pursue the opportunity.”
