The Milwaukee Brewers announced Matt Erickson will return for his ninth season as manager of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Erickson is the longest-serving manager in the history of Appleton Professional Baseball, with three playoff appearances and one Midwest League Championship that came after the 2012 season. Two new faces will be joining Erickson this year – as former Brewers reliever Jim Henderson will be the Rattler’s Pitching Coach, and Dave Joppie will take over as hitting coach. The Timber Rattler’s season opener is April 4th in Beloit.
