–Trevor Lawrence threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns as the Tigers routed the Crimson Tide in Santa Clara for their second National Championship in three years.

Former Wisconsin offensive lineman Joe Thomas is among the Class of 2019 for the College Football Hall of Fame. Thomas is one of 15 new members of the class, which also includes Vince Young, Torry Holt, Darren McFadden, Jake Plummer and Troy Polamalu along with coaches Dennis Erickson and Joe Taylor. The Class of 2019 will be inducted to the hall in Atlanta on December 10th.

NBA:

Milwaukee 114, Utah 102

–Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Malcom Brogdon added 21 points as the Bucks silenced the Jazz at Fiserv Forum Monday night. Milwaukee improves to 28-11 – they visit Houston on Wednesday night.

College Basketball News:

The Wisconsin Men’s Basketball team dropped out of this week’s Associated Press Top 25 after a week that saw them go 1-1, with a loss to Minnesota on Thursday and a bounce-back win over Penn State on Sunday. Wisconsin received 45 votes in the poll, to put them two spots out of the top 25 this week. Marquette fell five spots in this week’s rankings – the Golden Eagles find themselves at number 21 this week.
