Boys Soccer:

Girls Tennis:

Fond du Lac’s Kellie Hierl lost in the third round of the WIAA State Individual Tennis Meet Friday morning. Hierl was defeated by Logan White of Divine Savior Holy Angels 6-0, 6-1.

Cross Country:

The Fond du Lac boys and girls cross country teams competed at the FVA Conference Meet at Shamrock Heights Golf Course in New London. The Fondy girls took second place at the meet – scoring 84 team points. Fondy freshman RIley Collett won the individual girls championship with a time of 18:21.96! Madison Hughes took fifth individually (19:45.08) while Ally Schmitz placed 10th (20:12.04). Collett, Hughes and Schmitz were all named first team All-Conference.

The Fond du Lac boys placed 10th at the FVA meet – Charlie Quast finished 38th to lead the Cardinals (18:34.12).

Women’s College Volleyball:

Ripon College 3, Marian 0 (25-9, 25-16, 25-22)

Men’s College Hockey:

Major League Baseball:

NLCS – Game One:

Milwaukee 6, LA Dodgers 5

–Lorenzo Cain had three hits, while Jesus Aguilar and Brandon Woodruff homered in the win for Milwaukee to give the Brewers a 1-0 series lead on the Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. Milwaukee fell behind 1-0 on a solo shot from Manny Machado in the second inning, but then built a 6-1 lead – sparked by Woodruff’s solo homer off of Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw in the third inning. Los Angeles added three in the eighth and one in the ninth to pull within a run, but Corey Knebel slammed the door shut, striking out Justin Turner with the tying run on third. Game two of the series is this afternoon – coverage starts at 2:35 pm, first pitch at 3:09 on KFIZ.

NBA Preseason:

Milwaukee 143, Minnesota 121

–Giannis Antetokounmpo had a triple-double of 32 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in the win at the Fiserv Forum. The Bucks finish the preseason 3-1 and open the regular season Wednesday night in Charlotte.
