High School Sports:

A pair of Fond du Lac area high school football players have been named finalists for senior football awards that will be handed out by WisSports.net. Fond du Lac offensive lineman Andrew Stone was named a finalist for the Joe Thomas Award – which is given to the state’s top senior offensive lineman. Across town, St. Mary’s Springs wide receiver Cade Christensen has been named a finalist for the Al Toon Award – which is given out to the state’s top senior receiver or tight end. Winners of the awards will be handed out the week of the state football finals.

–The Sabres secure a spot in the NACC Tournament for the second consecutive year. Marian is the #6 seed and will travel to #3 seed MSOE on Saturday for first round action.

NBA:

Milwaukee 123, Philadelphia 108

–Giannis Antetokounmpo posted a triple-double of 32 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Bucks past the 76ers at the Fiserv Forum Wednesday night. Milwaukee also got 25 points from Khris Middleton and 21 from big man Robin Lopez – who drilled five three pointers in the win. The Bucks are 4-0 and visit Minnesota tomorrow night.

World Series – Game 2:

Boston 4, LA Dodgers 2

–Mookie Betts had three hits in the win for Boston as the Red Sox took a 2-0 series lead over the Dodgers in the World Series. Game three is Friday in Los Angeles – Rick Porcello is scheduled to start for Boston with Walker Buehler getting the nod for LA. First pitch is 7:09 pm central time.
