#1 seed Fond du Lac hosts #5 seed Arrowhead at Fruth Field. Coverage starts at 6:30 on KFIZ with kickoff at 7pm.

#2 seed Sun Prairie hosts #7 seed Sussex Hamilton – winner will play either Fondy or Arrowhead in Round 3.

#1 seed Bay Port hosts #4 Appleton North

#2 seed Kimberly hosts #3 Neenah

Division 4:

#2 seed Kiel hosts #3 seed Martin Luther

#4 seed Chilton travels to #1 seed Little Chute

Division 5:

St. Mary’s Springs plays host to Omro at Lomira High School tonight – the Ledgers defeated the Foxes earlier this year – 46-14 on September 21st at Fruth Field. Listen to tonight’s game on 107.1 The Bull – with Marty Schibbelhut and Laconia head coach Mark Madigan. Coverage starts at 6:50 with kickoff at 7pm.

Also in D5:

Amherst visits Cedar Grove-Belgium – with the winner taking on either Springs or Omro next Friday.

Mayville travels to Lake Country Lutheran

College Football:

The Badgers could be without starting quarterback Alex Hornibrook this week when they take on Northwestern. According to media reports, Hornibrook suffered a concussion and may not be able to play in tomorrow’s game. It’s not known if the injury took place in last week’s win over Illinois and Hornibrook did not appear on this week’s injury report. Reports say the Badgers have spent the bulk of the week preparing sophomore Jack Coan to make his first collegiate start if Hornibrook is not available.

NFL:

Houston 42, Miami 23

–DeShaun Watson threw for 239 yards and five touchdowns in the win for the Texans – their fifth straight victory.

MLB:

Four Brewer players were named finalists Thursday for the Gold Glove Award – baseball’s most well-known defensive award. Catcher Manny Pina, third baseman Travis Shaw, left fielder Christian Yelich and center fielder Lorenzo Cain were named finalists by Rawlings. Brewers pitcher Zach Davies was a finalist last year for the Gold Glove for pitcher in the National League, which ended up being awarded to Zack Greinke. Milwaukee hasn’t had a gold glove winner since Carlos Gomez in 2013.

The Brewers made a number of changes to their coaching staff Thursday. The team announced that hitting coach Darnell Coles has resigned and the contract of bullpen coach Lee Tunnell was not renewed. Head athletic trainer Dan Wright also did not have his contract renewed. The rest of the coaching and athletic training staff will return.
