(Green Bay, WI)  —  Several NFL writers are reporting the Green Bay Packers will sign experienced wide receiver Seth Roberts this week.  Roberts was released by the Carolina Panthers Monday.  He played 44 snaps over the last three games with the Panthers and wasn’t targeted.  He has four catches for 31 yards in seven games.  Roberts has played in 85 NFL games during his career.  Last year, with the Baltimore Ravens, he caught 21 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns.  Although he is expected to begin with a spot on the Packers’ practice squad, he will have a chance to make the 53-man roster if he can learn the team’s playbook.
