Two Badgers were honored by the Big Ten for their performances at Nebraska. Running back Jonathan Taylor was named co-offensive player of the week after rushing for 204 yards and two scores. Kick returner Aron Cruickshank was named co-special teams player of the week after returning a kickoff 89 yards for a T-D.

Players with the Green Bay Packers have used the bye week to get healthy again.  Every member of the roster participated in the team’s Monday practice. There are some lingering effects for safety Adrian Amos, cornerback Jaire Alexander and wide receiver Davante Adams, but all three had played in the game against Carolina. Linebacker Ty Summers and kick returner Tremon Smith, both rookies, were also participants after being sidelined by blows to the head.  The next game for the Packers is on Sunday Night Football at San Francisco against the 49ers.

The Brewers unveiled a new logo and new uniform designs at an event at Miller Park Monday night. Next year is the team’s 50th anniversary and the team is returning to a “modernized” version of the team’s “ball and glove” logo. The team’s new color palette is anchored by navy, which the Brewers have worn since 1994. Accompanying navy are the colors yellow and royal blue. The Brewers say the “yellow represents our city’s rich brewing legacy and joyful nature, while the royal blue represents the era that produced two postseason berths and a World Series appearance.”
